La libertà un tema ricco e complesso, un'idea dalla lunga storia che si riflette in tutte le lingue e nei nomi sempre diversi con i quali viene evocata. Come frammenti di uno specchio che riuniti restituiscano un'immagine, così lo studio delle parole ricostruisce il senso più completo e più vero di questo ideale.
Nell'incontro con il filosofo gli studenti del Liceo “Lucrezio Caro” di Roma hanno potuto analizzare gli ostacoli, interiori e politici, che si oppongono alla sua realizzazione: se  il timore supera l'aspirazione corriamo il rischio di rimanere bloccati sulla porta della esistenza,
divisi tra bisogno di protezione e desiderio di vivere una vita veramente umana.

Freedom is a rich, complex subject, an idea of the long history reflected in all languages and the ever different names by which it is evoked. Like fragments of a mirror that united form an image, so the sudy of words forms the most complete, truest sense of this ideal.
Meeting the philosopher, the students of Rome's “Lucrezio Caro" High School were able to analyse the obstacles, interior and political, that are opposed to its creation: if fear surpasses aspiration, we run the risk of being blocked on the door of existence, split between the need for protection and the desire to live a truly human life.
